Aisling Susan O'Laoire

I am counsel in the firm’s New Ventures practice group. I focus my practice on advising and representing startups and growth-stage companies in business transactional matters.

My practice typically involves acting as quasi-in-house counsel to companies throughout their life cycles, which can include advising on choice of entity and entity formation, capitalization and equity issues, governance matters, fundraising, early stage employment matters, intellectual property issues, and drafting and negotiating commercial arrangements. I’ve represented clients across a variety of industries, such as consumer products, food and beverage, health care, software and other technologies.

Prior to joining Thompson Hine, I was an associate attorney at Harper Legal, a boutique law firm based in Chicago that specialized in representing emerging companies. I graduated from DePaul University (B.A.) in 2009 and Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D.) in 2014.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, attending concerts and following English Premier League soccer.
